Interfaith is launching an exciting new Empathy Building Experience designed to foster understanding by spending "A Day in the Life" of a low-income community member. You'll assume the role of a family member or a vendor and go through a "month" of challenges (four 15-minutes "weeks") as you work to provide basic needs for your family, or provide services to the community.
When you arrive, we'll hand you a packet with your new identity and all materials you'll need to navigate the month--paycheck, transportation passes, etc. for families, or job descriptions and duties for vendors. The simulation will last one hour, and the final hour will be spent on a debrief, discussion, and next steps.
This one-time Showcase event will be held at no charge and is meant to introduce the experience to participants who may want to host it at their school, organization, or place of business.
